CAIRO, Egypt, February 13, 2006- Cellicium, the premier provider of USSD Browsing solutions, today announced that The Egyptian Company for Mobile Service (Mobinil) has successfully deployed Cellicium's USSD Browsing and applications powered by Cellicium platforms Cellgate and Cellcube. The comprehensive USSD solution brings Mobinil's 6.5 million users accelerated interactivity with access to a wide range of self-care and value-added services.
Marketed under the name "Mobilist," the user-friendly browser has already gained significant popularity among customers with more than 500,000 sessions executed within the first week of service. The immediate high response is best explained by the mass-market reach of USSD.
"Mobinil's services cater to users with a multitude of different lifestyles and requirements, therefore we are committed to providing a diverse service portfolio that fulfills the needs of all our customers," commented Mobilist Project Manager Laila Aboul-Enein, "The mass-market accessibility of USSD Browsing creates a unique opportunity for all of our customers to benefit from fast and reliable interactivity with one convenient easy-to-remember code."
Mobilist is accessed by entering a single access code ( # 100 # ) on the handset. Seconds later an interactive menu is displayed offering self-care services such as Please Call Me, scratch card top-up, balance inquiry, puk code access, and personalized settings. Additional features include information portals to Mobinil's products and services, as well as featured news and games content.
Please Call Me is an innovative turnkey application from Cellicium that reveals small revenue-generating opportunities by offering pre-paid users with insufficient credit a free SMS service to contact friends and family with a request to be called.
The technical installation and support of Mobinil's USSD services can also be noted. "Cellicium's technical expertise and professional support secured the success of this project," stated Mobinil Manager of Mobile Services Product Development Fady Zaky. "Their team demonstrated a level of professionalism and dedication expected from an esteemed company like Cellicium."
As with all of Cellicium's USSD solutions, Mobilist is accessible on virtually all legacy handsets without any modifications or specific SIM cards.
