Wataniya Telecom launches menu browsing services over USSD, a solution provided by Cellicium.
Cellicium, the market leader in USSD solutions, today announced the signature and implementation of the contract with Wataniya Telecom to supply the main Kuwaiti wireless operator with a complete
USSD solution.
Cellicium ' s solution is based on USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) technology and will increase non-voice revenues and VAS traffic for Wataniya Telecom by enabling
all pre- and post-paid subscribers to navigate through a simple menu and easily trigger exciting content such as news, ringtones, logos, etc.
All of Wataniya Telecom's subscribers will access this
service in a few seconds through keying a simple short code *100# on to their GSM mobile phone keypad. This service requires no modification to mobile handsets or SIM cards. Cellicium's
solutions enable the operator to support new revenue opportunities, while improving content delivery capabilities.
